For towns

See your local economy. Never a single business’s books.

Your town gets its own local marketplace and a portal that shows what it’s doing for local businesses. Businesses join free, so the whole downtown can be on it from day one.

The town portal

The numbers your council keeps asking for.

Local spending

Monthly totals and trends for everything bought from businesses in town.

Category mix

Which kinds of businesses are growing, from restaurants to retail to services.

Visitor share

How much local spending comes from people who live elsewhere.

Search demand

What residents look for and can’t find in town. A ready-made list for economic development.

Community impact

An estimate of the commission local businesses kept instead of paying it to delivery apps.

Reports and exports

Ready for a council meeting, with a CSV download for your own analysis.

Built for public-records law

A records request can’t reveal what you never had.

Under laws like Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law and New Jersey’s OPRA, what a town holds can become public. So town staff never get access to a single business’s sales. Every figure is a total, and the rules that protect it run inside the database, not on the honor system.

Town staff never see: a business’s own sales, customer names, individual orders, or delivery addresses.
Getting started

How a town goes live.

1

A 20-minute call

We walk through the app, the business tools, and the town portal with your team.

2

We set up your town

Your town’s borders and ZIP codes, your portal logins, and your page in the app.

3

Businesses list free

We check each one is real and located in town. No approval work lands on your staff.

4

Residents shop local

And your portal fills in with real figures as orders come through.

Questions towns ask

Does the town handle any money?

No. Payments go straight from residents to each business’s own Stripe account. The town pays an annual license and that’s it.

Do we have to approve each business?

No. yokal checks that every business is real, independently owned, and located in your town. Anything that doesn’t check out comes to our team, not yours.

Can a records request expose a business’s sales?

The town never holds a single business’s sales, so there’s nothing individual to release. Only privacy-protected totals reach the portal.

What does it cost?

One annual license for the town. Businesses and residents use yokal free. See pricing.
